Oh ya. I got stuck in the flat front yard after washing truck. It still had the stock bicycle tires on it and just sank.
Got some other pics from field below house after it rained. I kinda screwed myself on this one. Attachment 39919 Attachment 39920 |

before i was a diesel guy i sank my f-250 with a 6 inch lift and 36 inch tires up into the doors took a f-150 and an ole bronco 45 min. to yank me out thankfully no pics got taken though hahaha
|
Don't have pics, but in my diesel 3 times (hey, it's 2wd) once turning around and the front tires sank through the shoulder (I beams were touching the ground), once in my backyard when I hit a muskrat den and put my truck in the lake (yes it is open season on them bastards year round now), and once at the scrap yard when my front tires sank in the damn sand.
My dads 05 (AKA the farm truck) I've had stuck 2 times, once it was on it's side (long story and one very pissed off 61 year old), and once with snow up to the wind shield in my brothers drive way...:argh: |
diesel trucks dont make good mud trucks :ouch:

yea went through a pond in my stock ram 2500 4wd mega cab lmao went through twice but the third time barreled through goin too fast and inhaled water and she died on me comin through the other side of the water....water was probably taller than my 35's

Fun thread for a 2wd guy lol.
Once in my cousins lower field: Made it through the field the first time to get firewood but the second time through it sunk to the rear end. Wasn't stuck very bad but a boosted launch from a 2.6 Dodge resulted in my truck going from it's normal sonic blue to crappy clay brown and chunky. Another good one was less than 100 feet from the house: Back up beside the fire pit to unload brush and the ground just gave on the drivers side. Sank up to the bottom of the body in seconds. Buddy hooked to me and tried to get me out and broke the first log chain in half (coiled up nicely in the middle of his tailgate tho). Found a heavier chain, my floor jack, two shovels, and a wheelbarrow load of firewood and weighted his Duramax to get it out. Absolutely destroyed my yard in the process. I've found out that if i wait till almost dark to call for help I usually avoid pics haha |

slid down the hill faster then i almost went up it.

Too many times to list. Worst was an 84 Bronco II with 6" lift and 33x12.50 Mickey Thompson Bajas. Down a frozen powerline. Took another Bronco II, a V8 lifted Scout, and a Ford 8N to pull my diffs off the ice chunks they had slid onto. They melted in with MT's just spinning water. Well, maybe this wasn't the worst. But held the record for most recovery vehicles. LOL!

Beg to differ on the diesel = no good for mud. Don't know what the guy had but a 03-07 Ford SMOKED the pits this year locally. He won his tire size. Guessing from the exterior, but the PVC air intake and oversized intercooler I'd say twin turbos, maybe 800 HP??? :tu:

i did not have a camera back then. but i have burried my power wagon to the bottom of the window. all while she was rolling on 38's
the story goes, we were having a ball in a soon to be one of england's dig site for the truck company. so, we got out our toys and made a deep mess of the mudd one last time. (in all fairness of hell we had been mudding there for years) but now its going to be paved over. some tool (admiration of course :rocking:) rolled thru an area that no way were they going to fill in, and he had 44's on. he barely made it! i had not been stuck all day and the truck and hawgs were performing perfectly. so confidently i followed him thru..... i did not pay full attention to his path way and rolled 5 feet to the side of where he went since i did not want to attempt to roll thru his ruts. then i found out why he ran where he did. i got about 8 feet in and i sank so fast it came over the door thru the window (they were rolled down). i got out thru the back window. :nope: we had about 30 people parked along the main road watching all of us idiots. anyway, he came over laughing and then admited he had done the same thing the day before. that is why he chose the path he did. now the good stuff. those try to pull me out..chevy blazer, ford 2500 (not mud ready) , ford 1 ton (not mud ready) and a tow truck.........yea i sank trying to pull out the 1 ton ........so 400 later we were free to share our bounty of mud with the main road.......:c: rooster tailing mud at least 30feet or more in the air.........:jump: gosh that was a fun day. |
Good to know that I'm not the only one haha
