Help with RANCHO shocks and parts!!

Hi guys,

I'm not a suspension geek to say the least. So I'm looking for some help.

With limited parts available in the area I'm looking to buy a set of shocks along with Carrier Springs (D25) for my 2002 CTD.

Here's the issue, I want to make sure I am looking at the right parts.

So far I'm thinking I need RS6576 (the connection kit) or the dual spring version RS6566.

If I choose the single set-up I think I want to get the RS5044 for the front but could use the RS5221 as an alternate. The rears are RS5274 or RS5225 or RS5074 - I don't know which to choose.

If I go with the dual front set up (which looks cool, if nothing else) I need to buy 2@ RS5008 and should probably look for a steering stabilizer RS5412.

Can someone point me in the right direction here?

Also, is this a BAD Choice? IE: what about PROCOMP. I don't have lots of choice locally unless I start importing from the USA.

Please advise.:c:

Yikes...thats a lot of part numbers there Wyatt...

I assume youre talking about a dual shock kit and not dual spring kit?? I dont have it myslef, but think the dual shocks would give you some much better performance and not just be purely aesthetic.

Any shock experts out there?

Ive been looking at KYB Monomaxes myself...

Ordered. Rears are on back order and of all places Canadian Tire had them on for $58.00 each! Lordco on :q: my account:q: was $79.00!

Anyway, springs from Carrier and a few other repairs to the front end and we are going to be off and running.

the dual shocks will give you an even ruogher ride than you really have. if you're not doing any major offroading they are ointless and are for looks only.

I wish I read this earlier. I would have suggested talking with rocky mountain suspensions. they ship fast, have A+ customer service and know what they are talking about.

I was thinking the opposite so thanks for that. I didn't order the extra setup - just single coil over (well inner) shock.
