Well, there's a couple things that are good to have.

1.) A high lift jack: Helps lift the vehicle out of deep ruts, and gain traction if your high centered. Make it easy to repair tires that are off bead as well.

2.) Basic socket set for obvious reasons.

3.) Extra fluids. Mud can be hard on those items.

4.) Screw drivers/ prybars

5.) extra clothes in case you need to get into the mud to hook up chains

6.) extra parts: Even though your not doing rock crawling, it's still possible to bend tie rods, and snap axle shafts in mud, believe me, I've seen it happen. I personally blew out my clutch in mud. No fun.

7.) Adjustable anything: Wrenches, pliers, etc. I hate looking thru my sockets, only to discover the right size is missing, and I need it.

This is just the stuff I can think of right now. May be some more stuff I think of later.:U:

x2 on first aid and fire ex. a tow strap rated high enough to pull out your truck and a buddy with his own truck. i dont know if it was mentioned but a shovel is nice to have also.

A few big garbage bags or containers in case you suck in water and have to drain your oil and get out water. Ratchet straps for broken stuff. HighLift winch attachments are a good thing to look into so you can turn it into a winch, with that being said a tree saver is a good idea. Shovel, Extra battery and deep penetrating welding rods (depending on what truck your taking) so you can hook jumper cables up to em and weld.
