Carli Suspension..

Hey guys.. Im curious, does anyone know if Carli will make up a front leveling kit, similar to what Lorenz offers? I am looking at going with a front leveling kit from either lorenz, carli, or thuren, but I don't really need the mini packs for the rear. Only parts I would really need would be the front coils, and front and rear shocks.

I think they do, but I havent dealt with them at all. I have the KORE HD levelling kit and absolutely love it....I have heard that KORE has recently raised their prices, dont know if the others have.

Im sure if you contacted them, they would be able to do it....putting brands aside, the difference it made was well worth the money!!

Queeg 05-14-2007 01:34 AM

if i remember right. if you call them they can get just springs etc. you dont have to get the whole kit. ill soon be going by thier to look into sonme suspention stuff. if you want to go too,we can make it a date :c:

dieseljunkie 05-14-2007 09:05 PM

We may have to do that bro.. I emailed Sage Carli today and he said he'd do it, but he really recommends the entire kit. If I do the whole starter system, Its gonna be a while, as I have to look for the money :) I am also still looking at the Lorenz kit, as his leveling kit with new front coils and bilsteins is only $565, and I've heard good things about it. I can get his leveling kit, and a set of rear bilsteins for the truck for less than JUST the leveling kit from carli. I talked to Sage and the just the front coils and shocks were over 900 bucks. Ive heard good things about both lorenz and carli, as well as thuren, but who knows where I will end up.

dieseljunkie 05-15-2007 02:22 PM

I think I've decided, when I do something, it will more than likely be the carli starter system, and thuren's track bar. Thanks for the help, and if anyone has any pics of the Carli or thuren stuff, I would appreciate it.

update

so i finally went by carli last week. they have a new kit for the 2nd gen trucks coming out. its basically between the 8k kit and the basic. sage is a great guy. took me for a ride in his truck and i was impressed!

the kit should be around 2500 bucks

cashwheel 08-31-2007 02:58 AM

Hold on, Maybe I'm old school but 2500 bucks for a leveling kit? I hope your talking at least 4in of lift. I'm sorry but unless its a truck thats thrown into corners like a WRX, thats a BIG waste of money, spend 75 bucks get the coil spacers and no one will be any wiser, all 10+ I have ever done have rode and handled like stock, and no $2500 worth of parts could make a diesel pickup with the worst weight distribution almost possible handle well to justify spending $2500, just my two cents, sorry for the rant, kinda cranky right now

Easy Bud, were all on the same side, just different stratagies for winnin sometimes.

cashwheel 08-31-2007 07:51 PM

its cool bubba, some people are mushrooms and love to eat it up. I've been to the site, and dont get me wrong its a very high quality product, there is no arguing that, but it seems to me at that price to become a "hey look at me" item for trucks that will never use the setup to its potential, which the same results could have been achieved for literally penny's on the dollar. if thats the way you guys choose to go hey more power to you, just trying to take some of what I know a little about and be helpful to the members of this site.

that sucks mine cost me $79, the truck rides like it did before, actually a little better, but because of the ranchos I think. $2500 is alot to spend on a "leveling kit" unless you plan to use your truck like your running the baja 1000, then I guess it would be worth it. For me though the 2 inch coil spring spacers is all I needed for my truck since it is a dually and it will never be off-roaded very hard.

Oh yeah and Queeg:booo: lets go the :edit: page buddy, first you put down Texas and now this:madd: I don't care if you know:numb: us Texans know:DD:

see I can use smilies too

While were on the subject, what is the diferences between the Carli, kore and Lorenz. I still wanna lift my truck front and back 2-3 inches but can't find anyhting but leveling kits that will stay within those sizes. I want the back end to stay that little bit higher then the front but more then 3 inches interferes with trailers to much.

cashwheel 09-03-2007 06:37 AM

cool deal man, I'm in about the same boat:c:

no problem, I shouldn't have snapped like that, I guess we all needed a 3 day weekend to relax.:c:

dieseljunkie 09-04-2007 11:09 AM

Wow.. I go away from my thread for a while, and wala.. this is what I find. My theory is this. Different strokes for different folks. I have decided that FOR NOW, I am gonna run steel leveling spacers, some bilsteins, and the sway bar spacers from lorenz. It'll work fine for what I want to do, for now. That being said, this is just temporary. I go a lot of places where the Carli kit will work better for me, and when I have the $$ I will be switching out to that. Great thread guys. Glad to see it discussed.

Cowhand 09-05-2007 11:37 PM

Scotty,

Spend the dough on the end links instead, they work much better than the spacers.
Factory end links are:puke:

As far as a $75 spacer vs a $2500 performance system.......let's just say there's a $2425 difference in ride quality, on or off road. It's alot more than a leveling kit, we're talkin' coils, add a packs, end links, Bilstien 7100 rezzy shocks, and IIRC, a track bar too.

You can also call it the difference between doing 20MPH through the rough stuff with a spacer, and tossing everything all over the truck, or doing 40-45MPH with the Carli kit and not spilling your coffee:c:

coke or pepsi. ford chevy dodge... i like carli cause he`s right down the street from my girlfriend. and i like meeting people face to face i do buisness with. and i got to ride in sage carli`s truck. and i liked it.. alot.

so its all what you prefer. it seems carli has also spent many moons dealing with a custom shock for the dodges. wich should be availible in the next month or so.

btw 49 hours now no sleep i feel :ha::ha::ha:

dieseljunkie 09-06-2007 12:02 AM

Conrad, I hear you bro. The ONLY reason I am doing a leveling kit right now is because I wanna keep the tires out of the fenders, and my budget doesn't have carli's stuff in it yet. I WILL eventually have carli's system on my truck though.. you can bet that ;)

Cowhand 09-07-2007 10:05 PM

Me too.....one step closer to my new Mega.

Got the price down to a hair over 40K......if I fly up to Idaho to get it.

Made plans with Sage today....:U:

dieseljunkie 09-07-2007 11:04 PM

Sweet man! Hope you get the truck soon! Hope to see you tomorrow.

Dang Bob,
I've admired your truck for afar for a while now, and I didn't realize you had ANOTHER truck that needs Carli's attention :) I threw 35's on my truck and I love them, but I definetly need some suspension under her soon... But... Money is tight, and my job is going bye bye, so I am going to have to find a new one before I can think about spending any more money LOL...

yes carli offers a leveling kit link to site is thecarlisuspension.com. I am currently in the process of building a Stock full class truck for the 2009 Baja 500/1000.

nmlakerat 02-03-2009 12:15 PM

I like KORE a little better not knocking carli just my opinion is KORE has it down and has worked with fox racing shox and they are valved exactly for the truck not to mention they have several baja and other races under their belt and continue a strong racing program with multi victorys in stock full running a big cummins. :rocking: they know these trucks better than anyone

231jasons 02-03-2009 01:15 PM

I think its safe to say CArli/Lorenz/Kore all have it down.

I run the Carli w billstien 7100's resi shocks which Sage valved to his specs and they work very well in the rough stuff.

I don't "know" firsthand but friends in the industry well telling me Kore gets it's springs from Carli. I can go ask Kent (kore). He's my parent's neighbor down in Ca.

Longhorn 03-14-2009 11:29 PM

I have run KORE in 2 trucks now, and then tried Carli on this one, and for me, there is no going back to KORE...

As far as KORE getting their springs from Carli...I doubt it...

nmlakerat 03-18-2009 11:57 AM

please go ask Kent. I want to know how long he laughs before he says NO that they have their springs made for them by ?? ( deaver makes their spring packs prolly make the coils also) would like to know :humm:

Longhorn Please tell me more why carli over KORE for you ????????? didnt the guys from HRT race the baja under KORE's banner ??

layinpipe99 03-05-2010 08:03 PM

I know a very late reply, but couldn't help commenting when I stumbled upon it. I know 2 guys who have had the unlimited Kore kits & switched to a Carli Dominator & a Carli Dominator 2.0. Lift is nothing. It looks good in a parking lot. I personally have a Dominator 3.0 & it is worth every penny. It see more offroad km's than highway & it has 185,000 kms (not sure what that is in miles). With this measly 3" of lift, I have no blocks in the rear, but rather an 11 or 12 leaf spring pack (I can't remember & am too lazy to check) & custom built strut towers with progressive springs & 3" diameter shocks up front. It gives me the clearance to run 37" tires & have 10" of travel up front & 15" of travel in the rear. Try doing that with even an equally priced 8" lift from Rize Industries! Doesn't happen.
