Default what is the best way to modify a om603.

Well, I got the bug to give my 87 OM 603 a little more power. I am getting ready to transplant the engine a 1961 international pickup. Don't ask why I chose the international except that it has that character that looks like it won"t give up just like the Om603. The is still in the original 1987 SDL 300 and has well over 300,000 on it. I don't know how many miles it because the odometer quite working shortly after I got it that been better than 7 years ago and since been most of the time my DD. Right now I'm looking at pulling the turbo and cleaning it up. I'll check to see if it needs to be rebuild. If it does I'll check and see how much more a T3/T4 turbo is? I check online and found the swed that rebuild/modify the IP. Don't think i could go that far, my pockets ain't that deep. But was checking out of new injector could help. I would like to keep the fuel mileage about the same, around 27 mpg. So any input would be deeply appreciate.

At 300,000 miles, if it hasn't had the timing chain changed on it, it probably has a great deal of stretch in it. Replacing it would be a start in getting more power. A lot easier while you got it out of the car!

Thanks, I did think of that but sounds like a outstanding idea. Do you if anyone makes a manual remote adjuster for alda. I don't want to pull it off. Just a easier way to twitch it.
