My brother has a 09 LMM and we cant figure out why it wont smoke. He has a PPE hot +2, EGR block off plate, CP3 inlet fitting, fuel pickup, ported fuel rail inlet, release valve shim kit, Fass 150, 05 banks turbo back exhaust, and K&N intake (i think thats all ) it used to smoke alittle before I put the EGR block off plate in it but it is just a light haze now. I know some people are completely against smoke so i dont want any haters

Any ideas why it wont smoke?

 

cause its tuned to smoke as least as possible and make the most power...

 

All that on a new truck?? Does he pull anything, or is it a daily driver??

 

its mainly a daily driver. its completely tricked out I will post a pic of it. as to the clean tune his go to guy at PPE has a lmm also and his smokes allot with less parts on it. everyone hes talked to said it should smoke. it runs high 13s and its a 4 door dully with 33's on it

 

less can mean less in some cases, it has a better quality of fuel, and can hold a higher pressure if need be with the shims, cai, egr delete, all that does help increase efficiency

 

I love black smoke but if my pickup didn't make any and didn't burn up in the process of not making any, i'd love that because that'd mean my combo of fuel to air is almost near perfect which is what we all strive for anyway correct?

 

yeah, i tune one of my buddies truck, and some people actually believe his truck is stock or slow because it doesn't smoke, but that soon changes when they actually go heads up against them and find out it runs very fast and very clean
