Thought I would share! Its like another new truck!



Heck yeah what a great day for me even for a Monday... I called in sick and when I woke up this morning there was a package awaiting me on the porch!

Oh yeah, it was my EFI Live!!! :thumbs:

So my buds Jesse and Jess over at Husker Diesel out of Lincoln, Nebraska hooked me up!

I was on the phone with Jess for about an hour tops and he set up my tune... Basically what he gave me which he doesnt put an amount on hp but he said that it would be around 100-120hp gain at the wheels... Which is plenty for now and I will be in the 400's at the wheels for now...
We changed the top speed to 130...
I ran the transmission relearn process after I got off the phone with Jess...

This process is done by:

4 0-60 runs at 1/4 Throttle
4 0-60 runs at 1/2 Throttle
4 0-60 runs at 3/4 Throttle
6 0-60 runs in Tow/Haul Mode- Re learn for TH is more rapid


Tranny felt funny at first and Jess told me that this would happen...

I went to auto zone and got a few things and Jess told me to call him when I got back to see how things went..

When I started the truck up it threw 2 codes...

These were the 2 Sensors in the exhaust system...

Jess told me that what they usually do is they leave the sensors hooked up and put them in a plastic bag and zip tie them to the frame! I didnt like that at all..

So we tinkered with the EFI Live Software and Found that you can turn those sensors off to the main harness... Engine Light is off!

He then showed me how to update some other things like tire size and ect.. And told me to give him a call if I needed anything!

The power gain is amazing and so far I am well Pleased

Ohh and I got everything from Husker Diesel in case you were wondering..

No idea what all you added to it mods other than exhaust but 100HP at the wheel is going to be pushing stock transmission. Just watch wot 4-5 and 5-4 shifts. Weakest point in the Allison is the C3 clutch pack. So 5th is C2 and C3 combo.

Good Mileage with Nick's tune but maybe if I kept my foot out of it might be a bit better but that would be no fun.

Added the transgo jr and I have my eye on a suncoast Stage 5!!! If I am going to blow it I am going to fix it right!

Sounds good. Got a Suncoast IV setup in the works soon.

Are you going to do it yourself or have someone else do it for you? I might end up getting the stage IV I am just enticed by the way V is just the entire tranny from suncoast with warranty!

True on the V be cool. Quicker too. Just getting the core shipped back to me be the pain. I am looking Merchant doing the work in about 5 hours.
