DPF Filter Bypass...?
anyone ever just bypass the DPf filther...as in leave it hooked up but, pipe around it:humm: reason i ask is that i recently took the CAT out but, about 100miles later the pipe fell off where i had connected it...however i haven't gotten any codes as of about 25miles worth of driving :)

update...
doing this will cause the HUD to flash "clean exaust filther and "see owners maunel now" constantly. also the SES light is on...but so far no limp mode :U: |
i bult one that bolted up in place of the dpf and can change it back to dpf in 10min
|
does nebody know what i should do with the sensors if u build a pipe to go in place of the DPF?
|
You can buy a DPF delete kit that comes with some electronics to keep from throwing codes.. Or if you have EFI live, you can take care of it that way:U:
|
where do i buy the delete kit from?
|
I know H&S Makes one.. I will try to find the link for ya. Do you have an LMM Duramax along with your 2003 LB7?
|
well we own schaper farms...we have a 2003 gmc duramax for our shop <farm> pickup.
and i have my 03 chevy as my daily driver. And my dad just bought the 08 lmm duramax. that would be nice if u could get the link |
I did a search on Google for it, and I could only find Cumins and Powerstroke DPF Delete kits @ HS Performance.. I did however find a couple of links to some of our vendors.. Showing that the quadzilla stealth tuner and an exhaust for an LBZ will make a code free DPF Delete.. Try putting in a price request from our vendors to see what kinds of deals they can make you .:rocking:

ok well if i build me own pipe. should i just reinstall the sensors in my pipe?
