P0700, Transmission control module MIL

Arlight, I put new tires on yesterday, went to check codes and update tire size info and firstly my bullydog requested a password to change the tire size which I don't have (any ideas on this? Was it not reverted back to stock before being sold to me?) Second thing is I get a P0700, TCM MIL (transmission control module malfunction indicator light requested). As some of you might have seen, I'm ready to sell my truck... But now with this friendly trouble code popping up I get to keep it until it's fixed. Any ideas what could have caused this? It's not limping, it shifts, maybe it was a mild slip? Could bigger tires cause that?

Any help as always would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Well I've gone through all of the factory manuals and can't a solution for that code. Are there any other codes set.

"P0700 indicates that a related transmission DTC set in the transmission.

P0700 Action taken when DTC sets:

The control module illuminates the MIL when the diagnostics runs and fails.

The control module records the operating conditions at the time the diagnastics fail. The control module stores this information in the freeze frame records."

A p0700 is a general tranny code you need to have a scan of the tranny to find out what is wrong it will be electrical but needs a complete scan most of the time trany shops have a free diagnostic
