BullyDog vs. Edge (LB7)
Have a 2003 LB7 would like a on the fly tuner with monitor.Narrowed it down to a BullyDog PMT vs. Edge Juice with Attitude. Anyone have any suggestions or comments Thanks |
Between those two.. I would get the Edge..
|
Both are nice, you can mount the edge just about anywhere since its smaller and even has the option to mount it in the dash, pillar, or overhead storage. bullydog pmt is bigger but it has more on the screen.
both can make enough power to limp the trans. |

Now now, we all know the Allison does not like to be "on the fly". Going up in HP relearn tranny. Going down in HP no relearn.
Suggest buying a PPE tuner if you cant afford EFI Live. EFI is the only software that can do what it does. Save your money, dont buy the Edge. |

Start Savin for a SC IV now.. That PPE will create the need for one sooner if you run it over about level 3.. :w2: Dont ask me how I know.. :argh: |

|
Great this is going to be a money pit I can tell.
So approx how much abuse can my stock :ouch: tranny take?? All i wanted to do was go alittle faster than a friends Powerstroke. |
KW, you should have no problem out running a powerstroke right now.. but with an exhaust, modified intake and one of those mainstream programmers you are looking at, you should walk away from just about every vehicle in your town..:pca1:
|
They are for sure a money pit, but atleast you learned that after you bought it.
|
All we run are edge chips in our truck from my 2003 LB7 dads LMM and grandpas 6.7cummins and they work great in all 3 of them of coarse we normaly just have them on tow mod 40hp, better fuel economy and its just nice to have a little more go..

---AutoMerged DoublePost--- I run my PPE standard on the 5th tune(+220hp) and the only problems i've ever had were gunnin it on the interstate. it will sometimes cut off my 5th gear... just be carefull whenever you turn the power up on anything you buy. |
