How to make Lb7 quick?

Well I'm looking to drop some more money in the good ole LB7. I wanna make her a quick truck but I'm not sure what parts to buy to get me there. I got burned by a first gen cummins the other day and I wanna make sure this s*** never happens again. I was thinking airdog, efi live and possibly a turbo? I've been doing a lot of research and I can't seem to get a straight answer. I apologize to the duramax veterans if this is an annoying question but I'm a young buck trying my best to learn new things and spread my knowledge Please give me suggestions. Thanks!

Start with efi live first. turbo, fuel. I would not take above 500 hp on stock
bottom end.

The transmission wont take more than 60-70hp more than stock, so get that trans built with a bunch of go-fast parts first, I know it wont make it faster to begin with, but it wont break when you start making good power:hellox:

2x, stage 3 or better transmission upgrade first, then tell your Efi Live tuner what you have and let them build a tune for you. after that you can look into getting a modded CP3 and lift pump. if you still want more then get a new turbo. and have your tune adjested for it

you may need head studs after pushing larger HP and keep it under 600 HP unless you build the bottom end

So what kinda lower end parts does one need for 6-750 hp ?

Rods , crank , pistons ... basically the entire lower half .. or just select parts ? :humm:

I'm new to the d max just switched from a 3rd gen cummins. I've seen and have read alot of articles with the lb7 trucks in the 7-800hp on stock bottom ends with no problems. It's a very argued about topic as guys claim to be surviving at those levels only due to more knowledgable tuning around the bottom end ..... I don't know , if there's any truth to it I'm new in the d max world and it is quite the difference.

they most likely never daily drive on that high of a tune and rarely use that high tune.

As of mods need the basics before you go big. Exhaust, downpipe, liftpump, gauges, boostvalve, efilive, intake horn, lbz regulator, trac bars. bolt on stuff like so.

Turbo I would wait and use that money tords a Trans build. Trans can hate you at 380hp.
Can get 500 hp or so on stock turbo.
