Intake Kits
 
2 buddies of mine have dmax and they both want to get intakes but dont know which one to get. both trucks have exhaust and a chip. so what the hot kit out for these trucks?.......also is there any free or cheap tricks they can do...????

I wouldnt buy either. Preformance wise the stock boxes are good for like 500HP.

Pull the tape off the fender under the air box and drilla few hole in the side. It will let some cooler air in.

yep, just drill some big holes PRE filter,lol

i didnt realize i didnt need an intake untill after i bought the k&n 77 series, it does make the turbo sound louder though :) maybe a couple extra ponies too

I had the AFE stage 2 and it was ok, the turbo sounds pretty cool but as far as performance I think it is minimal over stock.

I have a K&N intake w/ an AFE filter, but I also did some mods to the intake for a cooler charge and it seems to have worked... total cost was $300 after all was done:w2:

I Can take pics of my Stock modded airbox works well but theres no extre whisle, but i do have an AFE stage II laying around also:w2:

The afe makes it whistle good.
