From my understanding you can get an assembled SEGR kit that's more of a plug and play type deal. I was initially going to go the SEGR route, but I think its a better deal to put that money towards a G.D.E. eco or hot tune. I don't think I've heard one bad thing about them.
Glad you got your problems figured out without a visit to the stealership. Keep it as far away from one if you can help it.
Also have you looked inside that bad boost hose yet? How much oil was in it?

I found a group buy for the GDE on the lostjeeps site. I just heard from them today and even though they closed it April 1 they will still let me get in at $450($100 off). Sounds like the answer to a lot of the issues that the factory left in these little babies off the assembly line. I just have to convince the little woman of that and I'm in. More power, better fuel economy, no more egr trouble, cleaner intake, ect. Thanks for all your help on this one guys. i really like that little Jeep. This ecm will only make it better and good call on the boost hoses. Not only were they oily inside but outside. EHM mod to be done this week also. I suppose I'll have time while I wait for the stealership to find me hoses. Unless you can recommend better aftermarket product.

Got the green light for the GDE tune and if the stealership doesnt have the hoses in stock or if they cost as much as the samcos I'll be ordering a set of those also. Thanks for all your help emp

No prob, Glad you got the green light for GDE. Which tune are going to get?

make sure that you don't reuse the factory hose clamps. Samco hoses are a bit thicker than stock.
Get some t-clamps which provide a much better and more even clamping force.

just the eco-tune. that was the whole point of buying her the jeep anyway. 20+ mile to the gallon on homebrewed biodiesel. besides it will already outrun the tired old cummins with just shy of 300,000 miles on her.(still works good though)

Got the little libby up and running this morning. Keith a GDE was great and I can't say enough about their customer service. I did the EHM, unplugged the fuel heater, the Eco-Tune from GDE(to get around the EGR), cleaned the map sensor and OEM hoses which I read on another site have been upgraded from the ones that she rolled off the assembly line with. I'll be taking her to State College this evening to see a concert. I hope to see the fuel milage increse that GDE says I will get. Thanks again guys for the help in figuring out her issues.

Glad you got it going, keep us updated on your mileage with the GDE tune.

probably wont be a good reflection of what a normal driver would get. the little woman has a drive it like you stole mentality. If the onboard computer is any reflection of fact i can say for sure it has by at least a couple mile/gal has improved. i took it on a 2hr road trip today and got 3 to 4 gallon better than before on the same trip previously. somewhere around 24 to 25 before and 27 and 28 on this round trip. I'm just happy it fixed the egr issue. the milage increase is a nice bonus
