We just had the tensioner bolt strip out and take the threads with it. I unscrewed the threads off the bolt.

Sounds like a fairly normal issue with these.

Does anybody have instructions on how to get to the part that is stripped?

The factory book set sucks for detailed instructions

I got this done quite a while ago. The tensioner / power steering bracket is only about $50.

In searching the first references I found referred to installing a threaded insert. I went that route before I found the part number and checked price.

The bolt in my tensioner bracket was to short.

Check the length of the bolt that holds your tensioner pulley on. Mine was only about 60 mm long. Only a few threads made it into the brace - about 3/8" or so. It eventually stripped out.

There was at least another 1/2" of threads that were unused. It's doubtful that a longer bolt would have stripped out.

You might be able to check to see if the tensioner bolt is long enough by looking at the back of the bracket with a mirror. IF you can not see the bolt from the backside I would get a longer M10x1.5 washer head bolt and install it.

It calls for a 70 mm bolt. I used an 80 mm bolt with a nut on the backside after installing a threaded insert.
