Coolest-sounding diesel on the planet!
From 4btswaps.com: It's a 12V53 (53 cubic inches per cylinder) 2-stroke Detroit, a V12 at that. They had 4 cylinder heads same as a 3-53 head, and used two 6V53 based blocks directly bolted together, 2 superchargers, plus twin turbos! I think one long crank shaft and a pair of long camshafts, but not sure on that.
Only 15 of these engines were ever built! My old 46 Chevy needs one of these! |
That'll put a smile on your face....
|
I need to change my pants now....
Honestly, I somehow expected a Detroit, nothing can match their sound :) |

Is this a post two stroke Detroit videos competition? Cause I could rock this :yeah:

It is a Detroit. And if you think they sound so cool just spend a day driving one and you just might change your mind. Especially with twin short stacks like I did. More than one day. Good way to end up about half deaf.
