dually owners running spacers

How are you guys getting your tires mounted and balanced? I got lucky, and one of my buddies works at a tire shop, so he hooked me up, but none of the regular tire shops will toucha dually with spacers in the rear. Am i stuck with taking my tirrs dismounted as long as im unning spacers, or are tuere shops out there that will mount wheels with spacers? Sorry about spelling....damn phone.

I don't see why a spacer would affect tire balancing??

I have an 07 Chevy gasser with duals that the previous owners slapped some new tires on from another truck before trading it in. The back tires were just slightly touching so my tire guy put 1/4" spacers on. It was his idea even.

It's not so much affecting the balance, but none of the tire shops here will physically remove them or reinstall them, because of the spacers in the rear...something about liability issues...just wondering if anyone else has had this problem too. If this is the case, then in order for me to get new tires mounted and balanced, I'd have to dismount all 6 tires at home, and take them in to get the new ones put on, and then reinstall them myself...kind of a PITA.

I see. I don't know, I guess it would depend on the shop. The shop I use recommended, sold, and installed them for me.

It dosn't have anything to do with balancing, it's a liability issue concerning the saftey of running spacers. Personally you wouldn't find them on my truck but I'm sure there will be people arguing that they"re safe. Whatever floats your boat. :c:
