its sad when someone could easily shoot a basketball into your stack :s:

We have officially entered the era of diesel ricers. Hopefully no one will actually buy and install these on their trucks, although 10" and 12" stacks seem to be gaining popularity :argh:

cummins95 02-28-2011 10:40 AM

im stickin with the 5 inch single, looks good, sounds good, n i can still have my toolbox without sacrificin too much space in the bed. and i agree with eastern aggie, they guys that actually take pride in the sport of diesel performance are gettin to be a rare breed...

KuNtRy BoY 02-28-2011 11:46 AM

:humm:WOW

rednekroper05 02-28-2011 11:46 AM

I personally think that the people that started this whole huge stack craze should be taking out back and shot. you shouldnt be allowed to run anything bigger than a 8" on a pick up and a 10" on a semi.
i will say that diesel preformance is entering a phase like all motorsports enter where technology wheather it is mechanical or electronic is so easy and avaliable that it brings the sport to its knees.

bludodge21111 02-28-2011 11:54 AM

I hate the look of these things. Most of the "ricers" that run these damn things cant even fill them up with smoke. It barely floats out of the stack when they get on it instead of shooting out like its supposed to. I thinnk 6" is just about the perfect size. just my $0.02.

:c:

tiremann9669 02-28-2011 01:27 PM

I don't know whats worse those, or all the guys around here with stacks on thier gassers :td::td::td:

Agreed about the smoke. And Im a 7" guy :tu:

I think on a pickup, duals should be no bigger than 7", and singles no bigger than 8".

TCU Fan 02-28-2011 01:44 PM

There are several things wrong with that truck, the stacks are terrible, the tire size is almost as bad but the worse thing is the Cali sag.

Smoke 'em 02-28-2011 02:12 PM

R yall sure those r stacks? They look like chromed trash cans to me:w2:

blacksmoke82 02-28-2011 05:11 PM

well think what you want but i really enjoy smokin all those ricers with that beautiful black smoke bellowin out of my 10" stacks its all a personality thing. in my opion its only half the job when you have a single stack. we all have our own preference, but dont tell me im not takin pride in diesel performane cause im just like you guys i want to go faster an pull the sled farther but i wont hesitate to help another diesel guy out.

Benjamin 02-28-2011 05:18 PM

i think he is trying to over compensate for something....

My stacks are 5".... if you know what i mean.....

blacksmoke82 02-28-2011 05:28 PM

everyone has their own preferance i love smokin out all those ricers on the road. i have no trouble fillin my 10" ers with black smoke. but i cant believe that guys who are dedicated to diesel performance would turn on us guys who have big stacks. its my look i dont like single stacks an these are my way of being different from the crowd. it dont make me any less dedicated to diesel power, cause i'm striving to do the same thing every diesel nut is, go faster pull farther an smoke the hell out of all the rich brats with thier bmws an vettes or mustangs.

Red_Rattler 02-28-2011 06:30 PM

that is because of the weight of those awesome stacks..... a small price to pay to be able to say his "Pypes" are bigger than yours..... and to be able to back it up.....:td:

Well in my preference, I like singles and dont like stacks that big :moon: Honestly Im not gonna :bat: you for having 10"ers, yeah you're over the thresh hold of what I think is reasonable, but I still think you look like a diesel ricer :bat: :argh:

You had the Dodge with the single 10" right? It actually didn't look too bad, and I am NOT a fan of large stacks like that. I think I saw it at Lebanon valley before right?

Aside from the fact that they're just HUGE and unsightly on that truck, the material looks really high quality right? I mean I can see the waves in it from here!!! WTF!

Ok I possibly could deal with a single 10", but not dual 10". He said he had 10" stacks, so I was assuming he had duals.

And yeah at $350 bucks apiece, they better be a little better quality than what Im seein :bat:

Hell of a lot of oinions here....we all know what those are like....I think it's way over the top and I don't like the looks of them at all. It does remind me of those ricers that we all see with the big fart cans and a 1.anything liter engine. Looks a little silly if you ask me. Nobody asked me but it is a public forum. However it looks like a truck that is used as a backdrop for advertising and promotions to show their ability to make equipment like that. I still wouldn't have it but it's their money that put them on and their truck ( I assume) so might as well go big or go home.
Stay safe out there.
Ken
