What vendor went above and beyond for you

Throught the years there have been allot of good stories about vendors going above and beyond their expectations to make a deal right.......lets hear some good stories here.

NOTE: Positive stories only

In about 2002 I ordered a SouthBend CON OFE from Peter at SouthBend. The clutch wss delivered to my doorstep while I was at work and my 2 big German Sheps decided that the clutch tasted pretty good for some reason, they chewed chuncks out of the clutch and scattered the box contents all over the yard, when I returned from work I was just sick

One phone call to Peter he laughed and said this was a new one but sent me another and I sent the chewed up unit back

Cheers to ya Peter yer great

Both times I ordered nozzles from Luke at Diesel Dawgs, he has sent them USPS. Sure it takes a little longer, but it saves A LOT of shipping costs to get them into Canada. :c:

Genos is awesome. Had some trouble with my halo headlights. They swapped out that set with some new ones and helped me install and make sure they worked right in the parking lot. Good people! Thanks

Luke has always been a friend of mine and someone I trust sending customers to.
And as far as Peter at southbend words could not explain how many times he has gone above and beyond for me And my customers. For such a well known company to treat their customers so well says a ton about southbends values! Great people to say the least!

I wasn't very happy with my H&S programer on my 2010. It did away with the emission junk but wasn't giving me any power. I talked to Steel at GOS performance and I stopped in last week when I was going on a snowmobile trip. About a hour later I was on my way, truck runs great now.

I was having issues with my 01 and thought it to be in my Edge comp box...............6 years old sent it to Edge and they fixed it for free.......Edge is top notch outfit

zach_west 02-25-2011 03:46 PM

crzycummins 02-25-2011 04:21 PM

brice at bbd has always got my parts sent out to me in a quick fashion, especially when i needed some stuff right before an event! :c:

bluedieselram 02-28-2011 05:47 PM

order a recon extreme taitlight bar last year & when when fedex dropped it off while iwas outa town the box was completely snapped in half 1 phone call later they shipped me another one & i got it 2 days later

Benjamin 02-28-2011 06:27 PM

Luke @ Diesel Dawgs sent me an injection pump for a 24V VP truck. noticed that they sent me the wrong one and made sure to overnight the correct one to me so it would be there on the date promised, for no extra cost to me. UPS had a call tag already for the "wrong" pump so i didn't have to pay to ship it back.:rocking:

Lucas @ L&N has helped me a ton over the phone and sold me parts and let me *gasp* pay with a check..... who takes those now days... :c:

Ken @ Kens Performance Solutions HOOKED me up with some gauges and a pod for my powerstroke, shipment was prompt and everything was as promised and the price was GREAT! :choochoo:

Chuck @ New Era Diesel for the rapid response and shipment of Airdog parts when i could not get an answer on here from Airdog themselves.

that is all i can think of for now.... well experiences that have turned out good.....:pca1:

I can not say enough about Brice at BBD! He is a stand up guy. Hard to find some1 selling parts to go out of his way to make sure everything is satisfactory, but he does:tu:

Benjamin 02-28-2011 09:47 PM

oops, forgot the guys @ Southern Diesel Extreme for building me some custom sticks for my 12v. I have yet to install them but I told them what i had and they provided me an injector custom suited for my needs with the equipment i have.

:c:

Nor Cal, I have never bought anything from them, only because Nick was honest with me when I called, he could not get me the lift kit I wanted in the time frame I needed it. (next day from California to Fort Worth).

He did tell me who to call and how much to pay, a couple of years later I busted up my suspension and could not find the correct ball joints for my truck, I called the shop I bought the lift from and they were not open, being 200 miles from home and in the middle of a deer lease I called Nor Cal out of desperation. Not only did the guy that answered the phone help me, he called me several hours later to make sure I got it installed and everything was good.

Again, I have never spent a nickel with Nor Cal, but I would/will and have referred numerous people to them because of my experience with Nick and his staff.

In no particular order
Riff-Raff Diesel Performance, Diesel Dawgs, TPDiesel, and Magic Smoke Diesel Performance
I chose these shops because one is innovative and economical, and they all are equally high in service to their customer. And they have proved to me that they are honest hard working shops with a passion for diesel motor sports, and general maintenance for the DIY home mechanic.

Laser Bob of PDT in Greeley, CO is the only person I'll let near my truck when it's not me doing the work. People drive from many hours away to have him do even the smallest thing.
Great thread Whit!!:rocking:

I have had good experience with a few vendors on the site
Luke @ diesel dawgs has been very helpful with alot of my purchases:tu:
Tony @ mighty diesel went out of his way to order me parts from a Canadian warehouse to avoid me paying the shipping brokerage fee's on my order :jump:

Mdub707 03-09-2011 10:22 AM

I've bought almost everything for my truck (Minus a few used things) from the guys at Upstate Diesel Performance (vendor on here as well). Jimmy and Chad are straight shooters and good guys to deal with. I've had such good business interactions with them, that I really haven't gone anywhere else for anything...

Jimmy has actually hand delivered parts to my door step before for me.

Now this might seem weird since its a competitor but this is before I started working here. But Diesel Power Products out of Spokane Washington was a great place to deal with for my clutch.

93_Fummins 03-09-2011 11:17 AM

Brice and Jason at BBDPerformance have gone above and beyond to not only sort out the parts I need but get them to me in a timely fashion, which can be difficult considering I'm working on a mutt! They are also great guys to talk with and will gladly work with you on custom jobs or talk shop for hours about the latest in diesel performance. BBD has my business any day! :tu:

Thats a Class Act right there! Scott Forgive Me for not adding you to my list! I'd say your one of our pioneering Diesel Performance Shop that will have a long legacy. That will out last some of our known Drop Shipping Vendors. They all should be thanking you!
With that said your at the top of my search engine!
Thank You Alligator Performance
