How it get 12 Volt power!
Great stuff - thanks for the effort. Will help someone out for sure.

Thanks for the post, I can think of several ways of putting these to good use! :c:

Good Info, the piggybacks for the mini fuses dont work very well anyways, at least the ones I bought at NAPA didnt, I had to cut one side off of them to get the fuses back in. I will be looking for theese. :c:

Agreed on that! Most fuse block don't allow for the extra material on the fuse. Either it's a hard push to get them in, or a little modification is required.

Good find.It will come in handy.:tu:

Awesome! Used one of these last night on a coworkers, girlfriends car. Fits really well, and 100% operational.
One this I forgot to mention in the first post is fuse orientation. Make sure the "hot" side of the fuse block goes to the non-pigtail end of the Tapa-Circuit. Otherwise the pigtail will have unfuse, constant power. |
Good find. Beats my half-assed wiring. Need to get my hands on some. :c:

That's awesome. I will definitely be using these in the future. Thanks for the great find on these little guys. :tu:

Where is the original post? Am I missing something?
|
The original part of this thread is missing. I'll do a quick rewrite of it.
Instead of using these piggy back connectors to get fused power from the fuse box, http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/1779/piggyback.jpg with the end result looking like this. Usually a connection that vibration effects and the wire falls off. http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/342...ybackincab.jpg I came across these while at an electronics store, and they work amazing. http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/3893/tapacircuit1.jpg The RED fuse if for the original circuit in the fuse panel. The BLUE fuse is for the pigtail attached to the fuse body. http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/6...pacircuit2.jpg It yields a very clean way to get an extra, fused power source. Do remember the warning in post #6. http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/5...rcuitincab.jpg |
You should also change the thread name to 12 Volt power....often here 12V means 12 valve not 12 volts.

Good call, title has been adjusted. :c:
|
:humm: Thats wierd who stole the beginning of the thread :humm:
