would rather be right than wrong can yall help answer two questions.
Ok guys I am a Ag teacher here in tx.
Well today i had two students first tell me that they knew two people with 09 dodge that had a "engine brake". Well i knew you could get the 6.7s with exhaust brakes but i have never heard of a true jake style engine brake on anything smaller than a class 6 truck. Am I correct that these people have only a exhaust brake on these dodges. Next question one of these students also told me that his family had a 7.3 ford with a factory twin turbo on it. Is this true. He also claims the truck is completly stock. Im just asking cause i would hate to be wrong in providing them with the correct information. |
no twins on a 7.3 from the factory..
|
No engine brake either. Im not exactly familiar with the new trucks but I just dont see it having an engine brake.
|
Thats what i figured but is always safe to ask then to make a assumption that you know everything. espically when you deal with high school students
|
The 6.7's have a variable geometry turbo. So it is also used as an exhaust brake.
The 6.4 Furds have the compound turbo's. |
