I subscribe to the money-gremlin theory.
The money-gremlin theory states that "technology" is really a conspiratorial name that refers to miniature supernatural quasi-invisible gremlins. These gremlins' entire civilization is built on the worship and consumption of money. When the gremlins are happy they do things that we want them to, but when they are sad little gremlins they make us unhappy. The only way to ensure that the money-gremlins remain happy is to give them regular tithes and gifts of money for them to burn in their frequent, bizarre gremlin rituals. In an enigmatic twist of the universe, money-gremlins are also pacified by Sarah McLachlan music. |

If you would like to do some reading our very own founding father Diesel Minded put this together in here and is full of good info. I havent made it all the way through much of it all yet. It would be a good start. https://www.dieselbombers.com/genera...ronomicon.html |
One of my favourite books is High Performance Diesel Builders Guide written by Joe Petitt.
Contains everything you need to know including the basics and the build-ups. Otherwise get your hands on those Bosch Handouts- good stuff. Or simply do as K50 already told you!:tu: |

Same thing on a 2 stroke, except the intake and exhaust stroke happen at the same time, and the supercharger is needed to whoosh the exhaust gas out of the cylinder, and charge it with fresh air.
