Silencer ring in the inlet of the turbo.

The turbo itself. Pull the tube off that goes from the air filter to the turbo, and look into the turbo. You will see a shiny ring held in place by a snap ring. Pull the snap ring and the shiny ring out and now you have the "silencer MIA".

go to youtube type in silencer ring removed and it will show you what it is and how to take it out

Nope does not affect performance or hurt anything It just makes the turbo whistle more louder :tu::choochoo:
