2nd Gen Rocker panels...Replacement???
how hard is it to replace just the rocker panels on these trucks! I really dont want to replace the whole cab if I dont have to. thanks
:humm: should be just like doing any other rocker panel...
well I have been quoted around 1000.00 just for rockers I thought that was fairly expensive but IDK never done it so I dont know how labor intensive it is

LMC Truck sells slip over rockers. I bought a cab for $50 that was burnt....the rockers were perfect. My bud put them on my Dad's truck for a couple hundred. If it's a full rocker replacement that's why the high price as they are a main structural part of the truck. Ask the shop how much to put on the outer cover part.

im just going to drive it over and show them
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- well so much for that idea. after looking with a body man it's been determined that I will be better off wiht a new cab. SON OF A !!!!! |
WOW it's rotted that bad huh. That sucks. Might want to get a second opinion from another shop.
no we both crawled under and he showed me the rot! its shot for fixing it. the cab is still solid and would last a long time if i just left it but I wnat to fix her up soooo
i need to replace the rocker panel on the driver side of my 97 club cab do it had bit smashed in by some old ladies bumper do i need to remove the old one and put in a replacement panel if so how do i do that or will the slip on rocker panel go right over the old one
Replacing your rusted rocker panel is a good idea because the rust will eventually eat through the metal, creating unsafe conditions.
