Attn Common Rail Owners
If I might make a small suggestion, make your first mod a rail pressure gauge. For about $200, you can get one, and it may help extend the life of the injectors and possibly save your engine if one decides to stick. I'm saying this cause 95% of the boxes/programmers raise rail pressure.

We prefer the Isspro EV2 Rail Pressure Gauge :U:
Isspro offers a rail pressure gauge... Its very nice, both in the performax and in the EV2.:rocking:
JFYI, 95% of all boxes/programmers out there raising rail pressure is not true IMHO!!!! I know the point you're trying to make though. It's a good thing to monitor with any engine mods. Many boxes/downloaders:ok1::ok1: achieve the power by only altering injection timing and injection duration.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Would this not be a better sticky in the CR Cummins section than the General Diesel section? :humm:
Same could be said about 7.3 powerstrokes(the original pickup truck CR) and 6.0s. BOth fuel and HPO pressure are good to monitor.
Not as common of an issue as on CR's though.
Humor me here...... I have a fuel pressure monitor but don't know what to be looking for. Higher than normal? Lower than normal?
What should I be watching for? |
