My truck is becoming part of history...

First off I hope Im in the right section.....

I got a call the other day from a guy who said that he would like to buy my 93 cummins truck that I had for sale on craigslist. This guy had never saw my truck or even heard it run but he said he would take it. I thought for sure that the guy was going to try to scam me some how. After talking to him for a bit he tells me he just wants it for the motor to stick in a old merceds. After the details are worked out I am to deliver the truck to Kruze auction park in Aurburn IN. Once I deliver the truck I found out that my motor will be going into a 4x6 merceds that was built for Hitlor! "Dino" ( a legendary car builder) is who bought my truck and has restored all 3 of the 4x6s that merceds built just for Hitler. The 3 merceds have appraised for over 10 million and are going to be auctioned off in the up coming auction as a set of 3. All the trucks drivetrains have been upgraded from the original straight 8s to 12 valves and manuals trans!

I thought that the whole ordeal was pertty cool and thought I would share....

Thats cool, Just curious, if they are restoring them why would they put something then the original motor in there? Seems counter-productive if your "restoring" it. I did see one of these original 4x6 Mercedes at a museum is Stutgartt, Germany when I was there back in like '03. Pretty awesome cars.

I am going to guess that he couldn't find anybody that made parts for them. I don't imagine that there's a big demand for straight 8 parts.
