Counterfeit Turbo Chargers ***Read For Your Protection***

There seem to be more and more China knock off turbos on ebay and other places everyday. Just remember that if it seems to good to be true... It probably is...

Here is a good video from Holset that I recomend everyone watch. It show them testing there turbo and a knock off. Pretty crazy carnage! While this video is from Holset it stands true for ALL turbo makers!!!

Counterfeiting is a major problem in the turbocharger market. Cummins Turbo Technologies is committed to tackling the issue through legal action, education and publicity. This video has been produced to demonstrate the hidden dangers of using counterfeit components and explains why you should use genuine Holset Turbochargers. For more information on genuine Holset Turbochargers visit My Holset Turbo dot com, Holset Turbochargers, Upgrades and Information.

That would suck. Save up all that time and finally find a deal on the turbo you want and get one a these. THAT WOULD SUCK.

There are manufacturers that post links here for made in China parts. They get deleted ASAP.

China's part of North America? :poak:

I see counterfeit turbochargers all over the place; not just on eBay, but individuals at swap meets and parking lots as well. I think a lot of guys make killings off of them.

"Hey kid, ya wanna turbo for that Honda?" :ufo:

They're usually pretty obvious; no tags, no "Holset" mark, no cast numbers, et cetera...

I bought one on ebay a Garret GT47 knockoff, it works good, I figured for $300 I would take the gamble vs $2000
