No staight pipes in TEXAS?
Ok, has anybody heard that Texas will no longer accept a turbo to qualify as an exhaust muffler? I have several friends that have gone to different places to get their trucks inspect, but were failed due to the fact they had no muffler. They all had their CATs and none where DPF trucks. The inspection stations are claiming that the law change ~3 months ago.
What gives? |
Sure did all vehicle's must now have a muffler if they came with one from the factory.

I've never had any inspector actually look under the truck... :yeah:

got mine in april, no problems there:humm:

Just run a straight pipe through a section of muffler. That's a trick my friend used on his old car, just ran through a hollowed catalytic convertor and muffler. With no emissions testing here and running at idle, car didn't sound that suspicious.
