If you have a set of tire chains, make sure they fit before you actually need them, make sure you know how to put them on. P.S. you dont need a jack or lay them out on the ground driving on to them, its sillyness, drape them over the tire then roll forward and hook the ends. Every year in the oilfield I'm amazed at the people who dont know how to put chains on and the things they try. Get under your truck and check for any wires hanging down that may be damaged by collecting road ice. After washing your truck in cold weather spray your door seals with WD-40 to keep your doors from freezing shut If your windshield wipers seem to skip over certain areas or ride over the slush and snow, try some shorter wipers Plug it in, especially if you plan to keep your truck for a long time, save your engine the cold start damage Carry a tow strap, cold weather clothing, gloves, shovel, ect. the ass you save may be your own, I also carry a set of tow truck style frame hooks for pulling cars with plastic bumpers Be safe have fun:bombin:

Don't rely on anti-gels, especially when it gets below 0. Run at least a 50-50 mix of #1 and #2. Carry an extra fuel filter in case you do gel up.
Power Service & Amsoil are making a gel solution that after the fuel gels your suppose to be able to add this stuff and it clears up the gel so the truck will run/start.
Only thing about Power Service 911 is that it has alcohol in it.
Howe's Lubricator is good for anti-gelling also, but it can be run all year. It helps keep everything clean and keeps things better lubricated than the low sulfer diesel alone.

dang yall, here in texas we dont have that problem, haha. but its 25 right now here in college station
here in california we have to make sure the AC is working... some days it gets up in the 90's

make sure you carry an emergency stash of goodies that will help you make it through a stranded situation and make sure you carry enough for any texans or californians you might run into:humm::w2:
