Cruze, Colorado/Canyon “First of Many” New GM DieselsFor decades, it seemed General Motors was reluctant to get back into diesel cars due to the unfortunate reputation it earned after fielding a plethora of smelly, slow, unreliable diesel models in the late 70s and early 80s. In a stark about-face, GM could end up becoming one of the biggest sellers of diesel models among the Detroit Three, if comments made by Steve Kiefer, GM’s vice president of global powertrains, is to be believed.
