Remote mount turbo

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I just scoured google trying to find out what a remote mount turbo is and could only find threads talking about the units themselves not how they work or the setups. Anyone care to share some light on this for? Any questions would greatly be appreciated.

It did. Thanks alot Rick. My only question now is that is there any power loss involved in mounting the Turbocharger underneath instead of under the hood?

I used to have a STS turbo on my silverado SS, which was a remote mount. The biggest difference was lag, but even then its not as bad as i thought it would be. I was putting down about 500awhp. here was there site for more info on just remote mounts: STSTurbo.com: Buy Custom Turbo Systems for Sale :hellox:
