What to buy ?

Hey guys
I am new to the site and i have a question for everyone. I am soon going to be buying a diesel pickup. I have two to decide from. 1st is a 2008 Chevy 2500HD,LTZ, crew cab short box 4x4, its white with tan interior, its the LMM duramax with the Allison, this is my Dads old truck and he wants to get rid of it. I like it because no DEF fluid, It has the mini max, bushwhackers, and a goose neck already. Now the other choice is a 2013 F-350, Platinum, crew cab, short box, 4x4 with a locker in the rear, white with black interior, This has the new 6.7 Powerstroke and gets better mileage then the Chevy and has more power but has DEF. The Ford would be brand new and loaded(Nav, heated seats, ETC...)Chevy would be used but from a family member so not a big deal.(chevy has heated seats and bose for options The Ford would need full deletes on the exhaust and a good tuner for sure. The chevy already has the deletes and a tuner. They both seem about the same of power now(chevy- modded, ford-stock). Now what would you guys recommend ? I like the ford but it doesn't handle as well as the chevy, but chevy has once given us trouble off road. I would also do a leveling kit and run 35s on both. What would i need to do the make the chevy fast but still reliable? What would i need to do to the ford to make it handle better ?

Most important try and sell me what one to buy and what i should do to make it loud and proud !:tu::tu:

If price is not an issue then I say buy new.

Really nobody wants to put their two cents in ?

I am really trying to decide but what are the pros and cons to each ? Chevy guys and Ford guys.

Why is DEF such an issue? Do you run our windshield washers and refill that fluid? If the Chevy is already modded, and you want a modded truck, I'd seriously consider that route if it were my money. You won't be able to do the full deletes on the Ford (I don't think) without voiding the engine warranty, and as soon as you do that your fuel pump will blow up (natural order of the world). This coming from a guy who just bought a new Ram with all the creature comforts you listed. Someone better versed than me can chime in on the LMM and how it stacks up against other Duramax versions.

What do you mean when the LMM stacks up against other duramax motors ? I our family plows snow and the trucks that we have had with DEF fluid freeze up. Then the re-gen cycle kicks on and limits power until it has been burned off at speeds of 45+ which is a pain because we have to drive to the next town over for it to burn off then we get another 3 hours of plowing until we have to do the same thing. The deletes have been cleared by my local Ford dealer for is reason and i will be able to keep my warranty if all deletes are installed by them. I have also thought of a 06 5.9 Cummins as well, are they any easier to mod or not really ?
