97 F250 Dead in Garage

Hello everyone, get something cold to drink because this will be a long read. Here's my trouble and some background. Truck is a 97 F250 PSD, 4x4, 4dr, auto trans, stock as a stove except for a little bit taller tires, and almost 310,000 miles. I have been having several different fuel related issues lately. First the truck would be going down the road, buck, then miss, die, and wouldn't start back up til it sat overnight. Changed the fuel filter, CPS, GPR, bought 2 new batteries, cleaned out both tanks, cleaned out filter bowl and finally figured out it was the little screen at the top of the fuel filter bowl that goes to the regulator kept getting clogged up after about a month or so. After learning the signs of it clogging up, I would clean out the screen and it would run fine. About a month ago I paid over $400 to have the valve cover gaskets and glow plugs replaced because it was getting hard to start (first time covers been off in 308,000 miles). Mechanic told me to get the rest of the wire harnesses that go under the vavle covers but I didn't have the extra $240 plus his labor charge at the time. I cleaned the screen a few days ago, it started right up and ran about 15 seconds, died, and hasn't started since. I checked all the usual, found no power going to the glow plugs out of the relay, read about fuse #22 blowing but I had disconnected heater a long time ago, fuse was checked with 12v test light and dvom, has power on both sides (wts light working)but I pulled the fuses and cleaned the contact points, now the WTS light doesn't work so I put another GPR on it and still no power. It clicks, I jumped the big posts on relay, still no WTS light, jumped the battery post of relay to little red wire with green stripe, WTS light comes on but still won't start. I pulled the pcm out, took it apart, cleaned it up real good, put it back in but still no WTS light and no starting. Tach is moving so don't need another cps. If your still awake after reading all this and have any idea's, I would love to hear them because I don't have a clue. Thanks.

Nobody Knows

Well, its beginning to look like nobody knows what could be wrong with my truck. This must be the first time these syptoms have happened and I was really hoping that I wasn't the first person this has happened to. I will continue checking back with hopes sombody has ran across this type of problem as well as letting everyone know what was wrong if and when I stumble across the solution to it. Thanks.:argh:

Search

I tried to search it but couldn't really find anything. I may not have used the right words because I don't really know what to search for. I don't even know what obs is? Any search words suggestions would help me greatly. Thanks for your reply.

Old body style. Search no wait to start light. Or no start

OBS

LOL, I should have known that. I was sitting here racking my brain over what it could be and I came up with some pretty good stuff just not that. I don't understand why there is a 3 letter minimum per word, since no, to, and on for example are key words in most of your searches. I will try searching again and see if I can find something.:tu:

Haven't really had alot of time to work on the truck since my motorcycle went down on me as well. I did find some wiring diagrams on the PCM that I hope will help narrow down the no power coming out of the glow plug relay and the no wait to start light. All the fuses under the hood have power that was tested with a test light and DVOM.:argh:
