diesel flush

just looking for any insight on the topic of using fuel to do an engine flush. im asking because a good friend of mine was telling me about how it worked for him. like me he has an lbz but im iffy about it but ive been reading and seeing if it would be good for maintenance.being that i love my diesel i want to take care of it not destroy it. any info is great or a diesel motor specific thread is cool to all the others i find seem to be pretty general and for some reason are posted by rice burners. thanks guys. haha imports with turbos bigger than their motor makes me laugh.

What do you mean by engine flush? Are you trying to clean injectors? If so use some injector cleaner.

hey hows it going. when i was talking about an engine flush i meant running it through the crank case to clean out sludge and any build up. i stay on my oil changes and most believe that doing just that keeps the motor spotless but i wonder. my friend i was talking about is very particular also and he still had a lot of garbage come out. from what ive gathered reading other information this was a common practice with older tractors because the oil didnt have the detergents newer oils have now. just figured i would ask some fellow diesel enthusiasts. thanks.
