Here the deal names chris im new to this forum and not sure best way to go about this but im looking for advice on how to price and sell my truck. i have went kbb and nada but have a few mods i believe increase the value any info would help....

Comparing to online prices is typically the best way to do it. You will never get the money back from Modifications to a vehicle. If you can recuperate 25% of the purchase price, you are doing well.

Thank you Ryan, I am glad someone else understands that mods don't make a truck worth more. :w2:

The best thing to do is remove what you have added and sell those parts separate from the truck itself. You will still get a fair amount of money for the parts you have taken off.

It's makes it worth more to me :ha:

Selling the aftermarket goodies separate will yield more cash in the end. Only issue is trying to sell them, and how long it takes.

Buying any modded truck to me is a scary thing. :scare2: Plus I work for a dealership and they don't care what you have done to it if the miles are in range and that vehicle is clean then you are golden if not your not....:w2: They don't increase the value because you have wheels on it or a programmer.

YTE2k11 11-15-2012 03:42 PM

yeah i understand that but got a lil more than just wheels and a programmer Truck has Top Gun Customz 8" long arm lift kit with 2.5" coil spacer and add a leaf in the rear for a total of 10" of lift riding on dc-1 20x10 on 39.5 irocks. i do appreciate all the advice fellas just hard to cut my self short when i have invested countless hr and money in the truck tho i do know that this has no reflection on the price

It really all depends on what your lowest price is that you can accept for the truck. Then start high on the price and work your way down until someone takes her off your hands. You will have IMO a very small target group. There is the diesel classified on facebook that can help you out. At least get a lot of exposure for you.:c:

If your looking for 27,000, ask 30,000. I don't know many people that look at a truck, and buy it for asking price. If you list 27,000, expect to get 25,000.
