ram 2500 badge question
i have a 2001 dodge ram 2500. it was repainted about 6 months ago and the previous owner never put the ram 2500, cummins turbo diesel 24 valve door badge back on it.
my question is can someone give me the measurements between the badge and the gap between door and side wall, and the measurements from the bottom of the badge to the top of the indentation that goes around the trucks doors. sorry dont really know how to word what i mean just how far in each direction i need to place the badges so it will look original. also does anybody know what i could use to place the badges back on and where to find it? ::ouch: |
Use painters tap to make the straight lines and use it as I guide... If you will give me till tomarrow afternoon I will measure mine out for ya but you pretty much just make a staight edge and use it to place you badges:tu:

ok ill probably put them on this weekend. did the 01 dodges have the Dodge 4x4 stickers on the tailgate?
and yea i planned on using painters tape to mark straight lines, i meant what kind of adhesive to use to actually stick the badges to the truck :humm: |
3M two sided tape thats what it's made for :c:
|
wheres somewhere i can get that?
|
Auto parts or auto paint supply store :c:
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- If you buy the rain guards that go over the windows or the stick on scoops thats the tape thats on them, just to give you an idea :c: |
Oh ok yea i know what your talking about. Is it kinda thicker than regular tape and feels like foam?
|
More like a strip of rubber than foam :c:
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Cover the whole back of your emblems then use a razor blade to trim out the letters:c: |
Oh okay, thanks man! So after i clean the spot how long should i push on it to make sure it holds good? Dont want to lose one. The damn things are around $100 each
|
Clean it with alcohol pads once you press that stuff on it's on as long as you get all the wax and everything off. :c:
