On a related note, I changed my Dodge's auto tranny cover out for a mag-hytec double deep pan recently. I was told, and confirmed on various websites that I would need 15 quarts to do this. In reality, I only put in 11, and yes, it really was the double deep pan.

The first two listed just caught my attention as they were brand specific. For the NV4500, our product is the Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle
Gear Lube 75W-90 API GL-4 (MTG). For the NV5600 it's Synthetic Manual Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) SAE 5W-30, For the GM S6-650, our Torque-Drive™ Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATD) will work. As for the mercron and dexron, the ATF wil work for any of those. Thanks for letting me expand the options:up: |

WHAT??? You mean your supposted to put oil in these things? That explains why my last truck would only go in reverse after 200K.
For those running the Allison use either Torque Drive from Amsoil or TranSynd from Allison. Both have the same chemical properties, extend the drain intervals, and help give more clutch holding power. |
