good write-up..... i've never tried the orange stuff..... i guess i'll have to try it next time........ i normally just use Aluminum and Mag wheel Acid on the wheels of mine and purple power on my nonexistant white letters.......

Its not a bad idea to wax them after you clean them up....

DB Admin 08-04-2007 02:16 PM

Yes Wax is a good Thing ,,, Never ever ever use tire wet on the tire And Under no circumstance use the tire wet Gel Its Like putting Glue on your Tire , The stuff should be taken off the market , I Pulled a major Dumb Ass Attack once and used tire wet to clean Under the hood Plastics ,,,, it took me about 3 hours to get it back to normal ,

The best product i have found to clean the plastic under the hood is Valco Products Its lasts for a long time and looks great

special wheels for diesels??

Hi Guys, I usually use simple green for my wheels, been pretty happy with that. May try this solution.

Question for you....... I'm getting ready to chage out the stock wheels on my 98.5 Dodge 2500 CTD. (Will be keeping my newish BGF tires). Any idea if I have to look for a special wheel to go on it? Just get any good quality aluminum wheel??

Thanks!

Maybe best to start a new thread in the tire and wheels forum

They should clean up good with just soap maybe simple green if they're bad and put some wax on them and they clean easer next time. Don't use a polish you will scratch the clear.

I can't what until I find a house so I can wash my truck easily and I'm not doing it until then. Its already been 7 months, but I have always liked brown trucks they don't show dirt...
