hid off road lights....
so i've had HID projectors since the first month i bought the truck, very nice.
well, i've been wanting some bad HID spot lights too but couldn't justify the $$ for a set of DC, LIGhtforce, etc. so i made my own.... 1. buy a set of h3 hid off ebay for $54 shipped. 2. buy a set of harbor freight off road lights for $24.99. 3. disassemble light units, install hid kit. 4. enjoy ! lookin good. did something similar on the dmax, cheap pro comp race lights with HID conversions. Don't stand a chance against real HIDs, but brighter than halogens.

looks good.. so where did the bumper come from? That is the best lookin front bumper that aint stock ive seen on these trucks.:rocking:

Where did you mount the ballasts? Is there enough wire? did you have to extend the wire?

Excellent post ! i'd have used the stock fog light harness to power them for a completley factory circuit but my switch is bad. |

i just took some time and aimed them. i also have an HID kit in them. |
is that just bulbs or was it the whole head light assembly i seen the recon ones on the 06 and up trucks and love em cant seem to find them for my 99 tho
