durallymax 06-28-2009 09:33 PM

thats actually not my true writeup. That one i just typed up for you guys on here because i must have been bored earlier today(i really should be working on my puller s i have 4 hooks the week i get back from NY). And it covers more of what sled pulling is vs how to do it. Any other questions on it just ask.

WOW... I was hoping to just go to the local fair, hook up with my stock truck and go.. Do you REALLY need all that to just make a run for fun? Dont have the money to sink into all the extra parts. I also cant seem to find anything about when and where to sign up for the local fair stock pulls??!?!?

most of those rules dont apply for stock trucks, youd be fine

durallymax 06-29-2009 05:37 PM

Youll be fine. By the sounds of it there wont be any rules like that for your pull. Local fairs dont require safety stuff. Only sanctioning bodies usually require safety stuff for insurance reasons. Safety stuff is always a good idea though. But your not going to need it unless you get competitive. Even if they do want it, some organizations like ours llow a one time hook without any of the safety stuff.

you sign up when you get there

Oh... Yeah i searched all over the Lake county and Geauga county fair sites and found nada! The only one with more info was Ashtabula county and those douches' only allow trucks register in Ashtabula county to pull!

durallymax 06-29-2009 10:06 PM

^^ that happens a lot. THey only allow locals to pull keeps the big shots out of the pulls they think.

At every pull you will sign up when you get there. Unless your in an organization or its an invitational pull you will not need to pre register. Even if you do pre register, you still have to sign in when you get there.
