7.3psd help again.........

Ok so i have a 96 F-250 with a 7.3 turbo. I posted last week that my dash lights and tail lights kept going out from blown fuses. I figured out that (what i thought i figured out) it was the light switch so i put a new one in it and it worked just fine until tonight. Driving home AGAIN from work on the interstate i just shifted into 5th gear as soon as it hit 2,000rpm fuse poped and no dash lights or tail lights. HELP ME PLEASE!? I litterally had my whole dash out of it and checked every wire in the truck i have no clue. Its probably something stupid simple that i'm just over looking but i really need help!

i'm going to state the obvious, you have a pinched wire somewhere. maybe around the tail lights, or under the pickup.

probly already checked this but I saw it all the time when working for snowplowing contractors. Do you have a trailer plug , and if so check to see if there is corosion in the backside of it where the wires go in. Water and salt can cross the ground and tail light circut and blow the fuse . Hope this helps.

Rabbitjbu. It's a double it's got a plug in the box for a 5th wheel and it also has one under the bumper. But why doesn't it do it all the time? I mean some times i'll put a new fuse in it and i can drive it at night for a couple of days with out it blowing out. Then some times i'll put one in and as soon as i pull the switch it blows?

if you have a loose wire it can go back into position, and get out of position I would pull them off and check the connection, the trailer plug was the problem with our o5 flatbed when we fliped the lights and used a turn signal it looked like a school bus, and would blow the fuses for the dash lights.
