If warranty isn't an issue, get the 6.4, cause you don't have to studded the 6.4, do a DPF/DELETE & you'll get better MPG, the 6.4 has a stronger tranny. NOW you have to remove the water out of the diesel every month on the 6.4 & change the two fuel filters by 15,000 miles:tu:

Get the 6.4 with a DPF delete with a Spartan Tuner.

Studs are still a good idea on a 6.4. Not at the power level of a tuned 6.0, but at higher power levels of a 6.4 6.0 you can only tune up to aroudn 420rwhp, 6.4 is almost 600rwhp... the biggest issue being drive pressure on them so they still blow headgaskets up towards those numbers. 6.4 will get better mileage with DPF delete/tuner than a tuned 6.0 from what I've sen. 6.4 doesn't really have a stronger tranny. They're essentially the same but a few small changes did happen. Torque Converter/flex plate setup is a little different and the pan and filter setup is different. Other than that, the hard parts are the same, they're both 5R110's...

Changing fuel filters that often is recommended on either one of them. I never go 15k on my fuel filters with my 6.0

The 6.4 is not too far different from the 6.0, same crappy head design. EGR system is better on 6.4 and WAY easier to block... 30 min job instead of a day long project on 6.0. Fuel system is way better on 6.4 too. A wastegate is a good idea on a 6.4 with real big tunes. Wide Open is designing a single turbo setup for the 6.4 as a kit now, should eliminate a lot of the issues guys are having running stock trucks with big tunes (ie drive pressure, high EGT's, lots of smoke... etc).

The biggest difference is the interiors... those 08+ interiors are so nice. That alone would be the selling point for me.
