WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF INSTALLING A NEW UP PIPE WITH A EGR DELETE KIT?

The stock up-pipe has a "flex" section built into it. With the EGR cooler gone, it doesn't support that up-pipe anymore, and it will move around a lot and crack, eventually needing to be replaced anyways. The stock one for 05+ trucks also has a "scoop" built in to it, so putting a solid pipe eliminates that restriction (even if it's plugged).

Off to a good start. I'd add a coolant filter to that list too. www.dieselsite.com
