Help
I have a chance to pick up a Hypertech power module (part # 1XLE4) for cheap. It came off a '99 F250 PSD. Can anyone tell me if it will fit my '00 F-350, 7.3 PSD. Thanks in advance... Sixpack :sos:

it *should* ..... that part number isn't a part number for hypertech..... it should be a 5 or 6 digit number w/ no letters......

Here's the labels that are on the hypertech power module, what do you think??

1xle4 is the computer calibration code. if yours isn't that then it won't work.
that chip is not mentioned on Hypertech's site. you might want to call them and ask them what's up with it..... (901) 382-8888 or techsupport@hypertech.com |
I know the computer is on the left of the pedals. Where do I find the code for it? I've never had it apart or opened up. Help!!!

It is located on your computer in your passenger's side kick panel. It is the code on the top of the unit by the harness.

I am not sure but the dealership should be able to give it to you. They can scan the computer and get the code out of it. It will be in a long letter and number code like 7 to 10 letters and numbers that can be cross referrenced to find out your 4 digit calibration code.
i'm assuming that the 1 isn't part of the code...... |
The PCM on a superduty is on the drivers side kick panel behind the parking brake

when was the other truck built??? it an early model or late model 99?? the early model 99's had the powerstroke badges up on the front of the fender and they had a different turbo on them, if its a newer model, i am thinking it will work, not 100% sure though.
