Just thinking need some opinions

So i cant believe im even considering this but the other day i drove my buddy 08 6.4 and say i was pretty impressed. his is a one ton srw and i hooked it up to my big trailer and she pulled it pretty good. I will say though that my cummins seemed to pull it better but i got a lot of mods on it so we not comparing apples to apples. What i really liked about it was the ride and the interior. I also have a buddy that works at the ford dealership and he has 2 2011 F-350 drw and made me go down and drive it after they did the newest flash to em and HOLY S&*T those things have some power. My biggest concern though is the mileage. my buddy with the 08 with 55,000 on it only gets 10 and thats pulling or not pulling, and my buddy at the dealership says the new ones will get better. what are u guys getting for mileage out of your 6.4 and 6.7's. My 06 5.9 drw with 132,000 get constantly 17-19 on highway and 13-15 in town and usually 13.5 pulling. I might be getting another truck but i just need some honest opinions. Im a died hard cummins man but these fords kinda got my attention. thanks in advance

I don't have a 6.4 but I want one. With a DPF delete, aftermarket EGR cooler or EGR delete, and a Spartan tune you will see a big difference in MPG numbers on the 6.4. I've heard rumors that there are already DPF, EGR, and urea delete kits for the 6.7 but haven't seen anything yet. My .02 is, if you get are going to get one, go for the 6.4. The 6.7 is new, there's not a lot out there for aftermarket yet and there could still be bugs with it. I would wait a few years to get one, let it prove itself.

I wonder how the 08's will be running in 2018, and how much the 10 year repair tab will be :humm:
