Hey guys what do you think of this truck?

Cars for Sale: 2000 Ford F350 4x4 Crew Cab Super Duty in Home, PA 15747: Truck Details - 268234498 - AutoTrader.com

It's a 2000 F-350, SRW, 7.3,188K miles, XLT, 6-speed manual, 4x4, crew cab long bed. For just about $14K.

I'm guessing i can get them to $12,500. My Tacoma will sell for about $17,000. Which would leave me a few thousand to make the interior nice ( new Radio some toys), the bed line-x, and prob just an exhaust and intake.

I've been posting for a while. I don't want to build a 1000HP engine, i just want something that i can get my entire family in, never worry about what i thrwo in the bed or tow, that will last a long time, and something that will maintain 80mph on the highway to get where i am going.

Unless I'm dyslexic, the ad says 118k instead of 188k for milage.

Certainly not bad mileage.

Worth looking at closer.

that a nice truck and has a manual. the guy down the road from me is trying to sell his 01 f250 xl single cab has 8x,xxx miles on it and a 6speed because he got a new 6.4l set up the same way.

I am waiting to hear back from him, because it was a PA truck, Rust is a big issue, by this time salt and nasty winters has pretty much eaten a lot of floor pans. I also want to see the interior.
yes it is 118K for miliage. And From what i am learning i can easily see 250K with out an issue.
the other thing i am looking at is the nickel and dime stuff in a 10 year old truck, It would be nice to go with something bulletproof and reliable but i don't want to have to be replacing switches, and seals for the next 5 years.

My tacoma has 50K on it, and it will cost me about $1000 to set up how I want, to tow my car hauler ( it will do it all day and night but Ive towed it with my 1 ton and it's so so much easier). Its already got everything else i need, but the full size back seat and the 8ft bed.

I'm just trying to see if it's worth going 6 years backwards, for a truck that has double the miles, when what i have will work, just not ideal. or exactly what i want.

My wife will not be thrilled if i sell my toyota, to get a 2000 truck, just to hate it 6 months from now because this and that.

I know i can change the radio, and put on seat covers, and with the manual, the worst i will have to do is change the clutch ( i wont get a used 100K auto,,,they are too expensive and cant tell how much longer they will hold up)

It's just a tough call, to either a. stay with what i've got and make it work for me, or b. go with something i'd find more fun ( i love deisel) but might have to "deal"with when the unexpected pops up
