Anyways, to answer your question...
If you are just looking for a set of wheels... 800 bucks isn't bad. But don't buy it thinking it's going to be a race car or anything special. My first truck was a 91 IDI 7.3 with an aftermarket turbo. It was a nice truck but a real turd. |
im just looking for a play truck to be honest

it would be a good toy for $800

No sir.... The Powerstroke's came out in 1994.5....
1994 had three options... IDI N/A, IDI Factory turbo, and DI Powerstroke. ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- This needs clarifying also... 1994 had 3 motors like I said above... An IDI is not a powerstroke, you are correct. But That doesn't mean if it's not a powerstroke it's a turbo diesel. It could be a naturally aspirated Indirect injected 7.3 (IDI). The powerstrokes came out late in 94 and they still came with the turbo diesel stickers. Wasn't til they ran out of those that you started seeing the Powerstroke stickers under the F250/350 badges... You could potentially see a 1994.5 Powerstroke with a turbo diesel sticker. my parts supply shop now keeps the vin of my truck on file, and only searches for that. because saying "1994 7.3L diesel" has failed me, and saying "1994 7.3L powerstroke" has failed too... so now its, "1994 7.3L DI powerstroke, F vin, with a Dana 50 front end" since they sent me wheel bearings for a spicer. and they look the same to the naked eye...but I shouldn't be able to drop the race in without a hammer and then spin it around inside the hub. also: Mine has no stickers, and I like it that way! |
