ford 6.0 EOT and ECT help...
i have a 2005 ford 6.0 with egr delete head studs 5 inch turbo back blue spring sct tune can tune that came with it not pulling anything i was going a long high way hill today that was pretty steep about half throat i was readting EOT was 200 and my ECT was around 191 to 192 give or take should i be worryed that my oil cooler is starting to plug or.... if not what temps should i be looking for ? :tu:

That's only a 8 or 9 degree difference going up hill? No, you shouldn't worry. Usually the oil temp will be going through the roof when it's plugging up. Also the rule of thumb is a 15* spread before you start to worry.
So if my truck get to 15 defferent I'm
Fine but if It goses over to what like 20 should I be worryed and if so is there anything I can do to flush it out what will happen if they go alot out ? |
You can do a flush, there is a writup somewhere on hear on how to do it properly, then the best thing you can do is to get a COOLANT FILTER on it, the most important thing to add on these trucks.
Ok I will be buying one but what about the oil side of the cooler how would I flush that ?
no need to flush oil side..
Do you still have Ford coolant?
I'm not 100% sure but I dont think I am should I be ?
The Ford Gold seems to not be one of Fords better choices. If it were mine, and yes I did, a very good flush with distilled water and replace with Cat 1 ELC. If you're lucky you won't have to do the chemical flush yet, it will clog your cooler, and add a filter.
