2000 f250 v10 swap for 12 valve or 7.3
i am looking at buying a 2000 f250 extended cab 4x4 150,000 miles for $1500. I refuse to keep the v10. i am wondering just how hard it will be to put 12 valve or a 7.3 in it.can i keep the stock tranny with either engine? I would much rather have the 12 valve but would the 7.3 international be easier? and other than the cost of the truck and engine what kind of cost am i looking at? thanks alot guys

12v is an easy swap, might run into emmission issues depending on where you live. 7.3 is a bit harder.
Both will require a tranny build, the 4r100 behind the gassers is different then the diesels. Your looking at 3000 or so for a good running motor, 1500 or so for adapters and such... |
The 7.3 is a great motor. It will need the wiring harnesses changed to accepted the diesel motor wiring harneses
