Waste Gate Suggestions?

Well I'm finally tired of that stock wastegate. Any suggestions what I should get? Nothing too expensive though.

Why waste money on a waste gate? Buy a Turbo that will do those injectors some good

How do you know your having issues with your wastegate? You will NEVER hear the wastegate on a stock 7.3 turbo.

What boost levels are you running? The stock turbo is good for about 25psi max, after that its more or less just pushing hot air.

Amen! money in the stock turbo is buying a fancy saddle for your dead horse

Maybe a stupid question, but what about a Big Head?

Again... Same thing. Its still the factory turbo. Shim the factory one if you want more wastegate power.

OK, I'll bite. Please give a brief on a turbo shim.

CSIPSD 06-12-2012 03:17 PM

Shim the WASTEGATE. Or tighten it...

I just find its easier to loosen the two nuts that hold it to the turbo, and shim it with a few cut washers and tighten.
