Infrnl, I dont think the ebpv is sticking, I will try to unplug it though until I figure something out. I replaced the ipr last fall, same thing readings were ok on scanner but figured id try it. I believe the cps I currently have is bwd (got it from advanced auto). Ive tryed napa, ford etc...
My turbo plumbing is air tight, only thing I have leaking is an exhaust manifold. Going to fix that and see what happens.
Articfox, if I dont figure something out soon I may rig up a compression tester and see what I find.
Update: drove up to the u.p. Of mi 2 wks ago pulling my boat 3500# or so, averaged 14.5 mpg on a 320 mile highway trip one way. My truck definately did not pull my little boat like it should. Egt averaged about 900 degrees on the trip trying to maintain 65 mph...

i may be wrong but your etgs seem normal mine are about the same when i haul the same amount of weight gota remember boats create alot of drag so it will hurt your mpg a bit

Ever fix it??? Im in the same boat for the last 5 years now. Thanks God I work .3 miles from my house!! I finally bought a new GMC to pull my toy hauler. Kind of an expensive "fix" but NO ONE CAN FIND THE PROBLEM WITH MY TRUCK!

if you HAD good milage when you were running it then stopped and started again and it was still bad i wonder if the injector housing in the head is dirty.. my buddy had a lb7 and his injectors went bad and when he took them out to put the new ones in there was actrual sandy dirt built up in the bottom of the injector housing

if you havent done a compression test I would highly recomend doin one ... also if that comes back good ..... pull your oil pan and pull 3 main bearings and do an inspection on them one at a time ...( recently had a bus with low power issue .... now runs awesome ... found several main and rod bearings that were showing signs of real wear)..
Its a real long shot but it can be a possibility .... dont be intimidated by bearings ... if all is well clean them off with a clean cloth and re oil and re assemble ( torque with a good torque wrench ) ... also have you cleaned out your CAC ??? if they get yuck in them you will have high intake temps and bad fuel eco also ... ( I do realize that you pressure tested and such ..... ) .... still stumped otherwise .. wanna bring it to washington ...LOL:tu:

also try emptying out your fuel filter and fill it up with ATF ( dex 3 ) ..... fire it up and run the hell out of it .... might lube and loosen up some junk .... I run 1/2 qt per tank and runs awesome .... dion it to my 12V cummins too

When was the last time you had a transflush done, I did not see if you had done one, I recently had one and changed all my fluids to Royal Purple and saw a little bit of an increase in mileage. If your truck shutters just a little when going from a dead stop your converter could be the cause. A lot of people put a lot of performance products on their vehicles and do not upgrade the parts that will be responsible for putting that power to the ground. Something even as simple as adding larger that stock tires can cause excessive wear and tear if the proper steps are not taken. If you do a converter swap make sure you get one that is built to hold more than what you expect your truck is putting out now. I prefer either ATS or Banks 1000ftp converters. Do you still have the stock intake manifold and exhaust body? Being that it is one solid piece reheats the air before it makes it into the motor. I purchased the aFe kit for about $300 and saw an increase in boost by 5psi and added 2-4 mpg just by having better airflow to the motor.
